Ageing Habits

I’m more and more interested in ageing – and how we live after the world thinks we could retire. This article has some lovely habits. It outlines the positives of ageing:

…clarity…pattern recognition. Emotional granularity. A well-trained nonsense detector. The ability to laugh at things you used to cry over.

Dr Marie Larbas

Their advice includes:

  • Move like you’re making a mitochondrial investment
  • Eat to feed your future grain
  • Practice intentional forgetting (a.k.a. Don’t Ruminate)
  • Wake up with a point
  • Cultivate friction-free discipline
  • Laugh more—especially at yourself
  • Stay curious longer than you stay comfortable

There’s a lot more detail in her article, so go read it!
