A client asked me about how to improve their PowerPoint slide game today. I spent a little time on it, so here it is, in case it’s useful:
Here are some things I found that may be helpful in your quest to upgrade your slide game:
- I read the book Presentation Zen years ago, and it changed my life. They have a blog which may be useful: https://presentationzen.com/blog – or buy the book.
- Colin James taught me a lot of what I know about presenting and presentations. This download on his site may inspire you (although he’s not a big PowerPoint fan!).
- Try searching YouTube for Better PowerPoint Slides, and you’ll find a wealth of things: This one about making PowerPoint like you’re a graphic designer is thought-provoking (and the guy seems to know what he’s talking about). If you enjoy it, I would suggest subscribing to YouTube Premium so you don’t have to watch ads for mattresses and cars every time you want to improve your knowledge! It’s worth it.
- I would also suggest trying LinkedIn. I searched for Courses and found this one (and there are plenty more). The first month is free on LinkedIn Courses; if you like it, you can subscribe, I guess.
