Smarter change

Speaking my sensory language

It’s useful to get aligned at a gut level with how people move through the world when there’s a change coming round the bend.

If you want to see eye-to-eye, make sure you show them the future, and give them the big picture.

When you’re all singing off the same song sheet, and everyone’s in tune, it harmonises the team so much.

Then you can get on top of priorities, function more effectively, and achieve the best things.

Essentially the language you use (or don’t use) show the style that you prefer to communicate in, and the one that others can hear, see or feel. When you tune into others’ wavelength, show them the idea, give them a chance to play with it, it’s like you explain it clearly for the first time. Even if you’ve been banging on about it for months.

What sensory (or representational) systems does your team use? What’s your favourite? How can you find out and use this to make change easier for them to digest, sound out and see ahead? Talk to me, and I can help you craft messages, create symbols and communicate in ways that may not be your natural way, but will be so smooth for them.
