You don’t have to love office politics. You don’t have to play office politics. You do need to know the rules though, to steer clear, or stay off the field.
Not knowing and understanding office politics can hold you back. Even if you aren’t ambitious, it can make you vulnerable. As vulnerable as the kid the first 10 seconds of this YouTube video.
We’d like to think corporate life is more like this kid but it’s not.
