Watch this video for the content, not the presentation skills.
If you can find 12 minutes to watch it you will definitely find some great tips (have I mentioned Enounce yet? I mostly watch video at 2 – 3 x the speed).
You can mute the video: every point she makes is typed on screen. And you can dip in and out of the video: there’s value in the information at most points.
This is not an example of presenting well. You can probably learn what NOT to do from this video.
On my version Deborah Grayson Riegel‘s voice is out of synch with the video, which isn’t helping.
She is a little frozen in place for my liking. This may be because she’s reading a script to an empty room.
As you know, I’m not a fan of reading, it takes away your personality and hides your heart (and why would I want to listen if you’re not expert and personable enough to know your stuff?)
Deborah uses a lot of placator. I suspect she’d like to use a blamer but has been told to soften it.
So my tips on presenting well, as illustrated by this example?
I’d be curious to know which of the 100 or so tips she gives is your favourite?
