I’ve been accumulating little tips and tricks about how I make change happen in organisations, and these are some of them. More to come.
- Don’t sneak up on people but be sneakily communicating all the time
- Remind them what’s stable and share the why (same different)
- Give them both consequences and incentives for change (towards and away)
- Be there if they are stuck (Options and procedures)
- Remember your priority is not theirs (Rapport)
And then this article about why Kubler-Ross’ grief model isn’t so effective as a change model.
Neil Perkin’s article on the importance of common knowledge in making change happen is also very useful.
