When we adapt to change there are periods where it’s hard! It’s chaos. Things go wrong and it seems just not worth it.
But then there’s a little win. And life becomes easy. And things are working in the best ways possible.
Until there comes along another period of chaos. An organisational disruption. A new system, And industry curve ball. A new leader, a new team, a new way of thinking, and things get chaotic and life gets hard again, and we need to change. During that chaotic time nothing feels worth it. It’s like everything you do costs time, thought, emotional energy, and you might want to give up. Giving up leads to eventual calcification and “death”, whatever that means – for the project, the relationship, the software (how many organisations are working with “legacy” systems, and say “it’s not worth the investment”?
The S curve has been re-jigged and represented by many thinkers (Schumpeter, Fisher and Pry, Charles Handy, Seth Godin) because it rings true, and because it gives us all some hope and some purpose (it’s a big picture Why if you like, a la Simon Sinek).
If you’re dealing with chaos, or anticipating chaos, I can help you navigate that – embed me in your team and let’s make your team work more effectively (and avoid “death”). Talk to me. Even if you cannot afford me, I would love to hear your story!
Talk to me about how I can help you.
