While Seth Godin blogged this week about not spreading yourself too thinly marketing-wise, Anthill published the 6 biggest email marketing mistakes (sorry, the link is gone). To get it right, they suggest you pay attention to:

  • list development
  • email design
  • how you reply to emails
  • get your email objectively reviewed
  • reaching the right number of people (Seth’s point)
  • watch out for spam filters.

And of course, testing your email is a big one too. Get an email address at outlook or similar and send yourself an email, just so you can see how your emails come out.
