Humour and gesture

Continuing my posts on gesture, here is another mate of mine, Rod Matthews.

In the first 35 seconds of video you will see a lot of distractor gestures, and a chopping gesture as well. Rod is a very active trainer, and portrays himself as a fun guy: This particular video is an interview with Doni Tamblyn, author of Laugh and Learn – 95 ways to use humour for more effective teaching and training. Watch how Rod adopts the Thinker pose as he listens to Doni speak. His favourite gesture is the placator.

The video is around 7 minutes long.

Call or email me to talk about how this might affect your next presentation – you know I’ll return the call!
