Psychological safety depends on trust.
This TED talk from Francis Frei on the mechanics of building trust relies on a lovely triangular model (so much better than the boring old 2 x 2 matrix, right?)
I’ll leave it to you to find the triangular model (hint, the three corners are Logic, Authenticity and Empathy).

If you do nothing else [to build empathy], please put away your cell phone… it’s super difficult to build empathy in its presence
The famous inverse pyramid has a starring role (under Logic). Liz Moore mentioned this model when I interviewed in my Smarter Data People podcast recently.
