Sydney Finkelstein, a professor of management at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, encourages leaders to approach their direct reports like teachers.
The podcast which is about 18 minutes long is worth a listen, lost of great examples of being a teacher-leader
It’s not about spending more time in meetings, it’s about using the time we have more wisely
providing hints of what you should be thinking about
why not use our retreats and offsites more wisely
It’s a good way to build team and it has been shown to make the leader’s happiness and health levels go up (when I find that reference I’ll add it in here!)
